The weekend...

Lately I have been to tired to blog...I have lot's of things I have been thinking about and want to write about, but zero energy to actually do it...So tonight I will just post some pictures of this weekend.

We had a campfire on Saturday night. It was a lot of fun. It was the night of the "super" moon.
I have to say I wasn't terribly impressed by it. It didn't look any larger to me than any other full moon I have seen. What did look cool was you could see it moving up above the mountain, and it seemed to move quite quickly...
So that was kind of neat...
Austin...
My Uncle from Las Vegas brought some of his old Military uniforms up a while back and Raist thinks they are the coolest thing ever...
When he wears them he looks so much older...It's been hitting me lately how fast things are going by with him. I often think of him turning 15 next month and how fast the years to come will fly by. In three short years he will be 18...What if he decides to move out...And not only that, but what if he decides to move some where far away? My heart can't even imagine what it would feel like to not see him every day...*sigh*...Anyway, enough about that...
The kids had a blast with glow sticks...
They made the neatest things with them...
They looked cool spinning...
The ball was my favorite...Later in the night they turned it into a hat...
Jordy with her creation...
Amy...
Austin...
We also did some fireworks that night...But by then the battery in my camera was dying so my pictures didn't work out...This was the best I got! lol
So it was a fun night.

The weather has been really warm the past little while...The river is flooding pretty good. This is our swimming hole. We are are never to sure what the beach will look like until the flooding is over. Every year it is different depending on how strong and fast the water is running.
The kids like to go out for truck rides in the early evening. That's the best time to see bears.
The other night we drove out back behind the house and saw two bears laying down in the grass together. They looked to be about three years old, probably cubs who have just been recently ditched by their Mom and that's why they are still hanging around together. It was interesting that one was black and the other was a brown bear. And it just so happened it was the one time I didn't bring my camera with me!!
Russell loves truck rides...He likes to sit with Brad and steer.
For those of you who have asked...Russell is doing great these days. Tomorrow it will have been three weeks since he had his surgery and he is just now starting to feel back to normal. The first two weeks were rough! Many days I was just in tears wishing we had never had the surgery done. Russell was so uncomfortable, his breathing seemed worse than ever, he wasn't sleeping or eating...*sigh*...It was hell!

But now he is doing really good. He is finally sleeping through the night again, and his sleep is much more peaceful...He doesn't thrash around in his crib like he use to...He is no longer restless or constantly waking. His breathing is much better...No more snoring.
So I am glad it is all over with and I am glad we had it done.

The only bad thing is that the teeth grinding has started back up again! Right after the surgery when we got back to our room...He started grinding his teeth...And he has done it everyday since then. It sucks.

Things have been interesting with Zane lately. He is crawling now and cruising along furniture...It's been amazing to watch him learn and to see how fast he acquires a new skill.
I plan to write more on this later...So stay tuned for more on Zane the Pain...

  2. I think my favorite picture of this post is the one with all the kids in the truck and Russell's head sticking out the window. I understand about being tired and not wanting to blog. That was me for the last couple of weeks. And I'm so happy Russell is feeling better!
