Why?

Why does Russell insist on walking around the house like this?
His hands are always down his pants!
Worst. Habit. Ever.
Why is Sunday a day of rest for everyone but me!
Actually, if you look closely this is entirely Russell's mess! The kid lives to destroy my house!!
Why can't Jordy's clothes quite make it all the way to the laundry basket?!
Would it kill her to make the effort to walk the extra two steps to drop them in!!
I swear she is the laziest kid on the planet!!
And whats funny about this is that she left these clothes on the floor all night...The next morning she changed into new clothes and stepped over these ones to put her p.j's in the basket!!
Why does Brad take so long to notice things?
The other day he asked me if I knew Russell had a gap between his big toe and the rest of his toes...*sigh*...I asked him where the hell he has been the past two years!
I laughed and said..." Ya, remember that one time the Doctors told us he had Down syndrome and that was one of the features!"
Ok, so I was a little mean and sarcastic, but really...Come on now!
Why does Russell love Brad more than me?
He stalks Brad all over the house calling "Daddy, Daddy"
It's so cute, why doesn't he do that for me!!
I'm jealous :(

Ah well...I suppose none of these things are really a big deal...
They only bother me once a month ;)

  1. Love this post! Makes me laugh so hard. Abbie has some...um...embarrassing habits too. Not the hand down the pants, but lets just say girl has discovered her nose, her finger and all that comes with that. And oh there is more....

As far as the mess...I am pretty sure my kids think I live to clean up their mess. Reagan will pick up for money, but otherwise, "That's your job Mommy." UGH!

Finally, our DT assures me that the reason Abbie says "Dada" "DADEEEEE", and calls for her Daddy is because it is just easier to say than "Mama" or "Mommy". She only says the dreaded "M-word" when she is mad. Then is is "MMMMMMMMAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMAAAAAA!" Nice....

Love you Jenny! Love your blog. Love Russell. Love it all. Glad we "met". ;-)

  5. Oohs I rushed to my pc when I saw their was a video, (can't watch them from the flaming iPad ) that boy is so so so sweet !
It only annoys you one a month ! Seriously...?
I am a terrible mum I complain at least 4 days a week!
You know what most impressed me about that lounge room photo is that you have photos on display at Russell height! If I put ours down, and I did try recently they get carted around the house and then left on the floor, for someone unexpectedly step on later. Urrgh.

  6. Haha, ya I have shelves like that all over the house, I refuse to baby proof it! The kids all learned at an early age not to touch my stuff! Russell will go up to that one shelf and lean on it staring at a picture of his Dad...But he won't touch it. The only thing he grabs and carries around the house is the phone...He loves the phone!

  7. Yesterday, Colin's cousins came over and the toy room is a mess. Today I told Colin we needed to clean it up and he said, "You clean it up and I'll watch." Ha!

  8. Oh my GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWD!

Do we live in the same house, yet so many miles away.... ????

Ethan LIVES with his hands in his pants -FRONT AND BACK. (actually it was pretty funny, last night as he made his valentine's for school, he kept sticking his hand in his diaper, and i thought to myself, if that little girl only knew what else is on that paper! hahaha!)

THAT LIVING ROOM! Is JUST like mine!

That "lazy" kid, I HAVE ONE TOOOOOOOOO!

and HELLO, I am definitely chopped liver in this house, although I am the one that soothes and caresses and worries and all that stuff over that little booger! Ha!

  9. Just found your blog, and I could relate to so many things in this post. We call our little guy the tornado because he leaves a path of destruction everywhere he goes. Looking forward to reading more.
