Today you are eight months old! I cant believe how fast time is going by, sometimes I wish there was a way to stop it...stop if from passing so quickly. There are no words to say how much I love you. I think back to this time eight short months ago and I cannot believe my heart ached the way it did. I cannot believe I cried tears of sadness and fear. I cannot believe there was a time when I was scared to be your Mom.
But even amongst all those feelings, one feeling overpowered them all. One was so strong that I never, ever forgot it...no matter how sacred or sad I was...and that was LOVE...
I loved you the very second I held you in my arms. And even though you were my fifth little one, you were the first I uttered the words "he's so perfect" to...I remember saying those words instantly when I saw you...and in the weeks to come when I felt absolutely crushed with everything that was going on...those words still rung true in my heart.
You are absolutely, 100%, PERFECTLY Russell!
You have brought our home so much joy, and happiness, and laughter and love...I don't even like to think of what we were before you. So happy eight months my little boy!!
Eight things I LOVE about you!
*You wake up every morning with a HUGE smile on your face. You peek over the top of your crib to see if anyone is in the room.
*While we are on the sleeping topic...you are what I like to call a sleeping disaster! You roll around so much and twist and turn, your bed is a wreck every morning...and it makes me smile!
*When you are laying on the floor and your favorite sister walks in (not to name any names, but I am pretty sure you have a favorite) You will holler out to her until she looks down at you and picks you up.
*How you refuse to hold you own bottle, even though we both know you can!! You reach out and grab it right away but as soon as it hits your mouth you let go and relax your arms, only because you are spoiled rotten and you have us all wrapped around your little finger...and you know it!
*How when anyone goes to pick you up you smile a great big smile and kick your legs and flap your arms in excitment!
*How you will eat fruit but when we give you vegtables you blow rasberries and spit it out...everytime!
*How you think your sisters only have hair on their heads for your enjoyment...you cannot resist pulling it...EVER!
*How when I rock you to sleep, you humm...and when I look down at you and catch your eye you start to giggle.
And the list goes on and on.....
HUGE smiles!! this is great...Happy 8 months Russell..you are the man!! smiles
